Please note that this only applies to our old term-based Nanodegree programs. Since we have moved to a subscription program, this does not apply anymore to students enrolled past May 1, 2019. This also means that those still enrolled in our old term-based Nanodegree programs are limited to whatever open classes we have left for that old model.
Not all students are on track to complete their program on time. In those cases, some students in certain programs may receive an email from Udacity offering them the option to switch to a later class of their program. This essentially pushes back the student's term end date, which means the student gets more time to submit any projects. In other words, a class switch allows students with active enrollments to delay when their term ends. This can only be done once during your Nanodegree program. Any project progress made in the program will be saved, so long as project details have not substantially changed for the new class.
Exclusions to this class switching policy do apply. The following students do not qualify for this class switch offer:
- International students in China, Brazil, India, Middle East/Africa
- Scholarship students
- Enterprise students
- Students in a subscription-based enrollments
- Students whose terms have already ended
- Students who have already been transferred into a later class before
Please note that in order to redeem the class switch offer, you must reply directly to the email you received from Udacity. The offer applies to the specific program named in the email.
