How to join the program as a student/tutor?
Students do not need to apply; they simply need to enroll themselves in the track of their choice through this link. Individuals interested in becoming tutors should apply, ready to show that they have expert knowledge in the track they are applying to as tutors - more details on tutor application will be shared soon.
I have enrolled in the wrong track. Can I withdraw?
There is no withdraw feature for now. Feel free to enroll in the course you intended to learn, as students are allowed to enroll in more than one track. But please note that you will be starting the timer on the tracks once you enroll.
(Milestone 1 content requires 2 weeks to complete, up to 3 months flex if needed. And another 3 months are given to complete Milestone 2 content. (Total of 6 months from enrollment if needed - contingent on completion of Milestone 1 before 3 months)
What are the criteria to be selected for the ND phase?
Students who complete the full foundational track (Milestone 1+2) within 6 months are eligible to take the final assessment in their corresponding track. Final assessments take place every 3 months. Accordingly, top scoring students of the final assessment (around 0.01% of all students enrolled) who show promise and potential will then be selected to take the Nanodegree.
Can students re-enroll in the same track after finishing it and receiving a certificate?
Yes, but individuals will only receive 1 certificate per track per milestone regardless of the number of times they enroll.
Until when is the initiative available?
The initiative is ongoing on a rolling basis.
Can I compete for the nanodegree scholarship more than once?
Students will only be eligible to one attempt in the final assessment per track, which is your way of competing for the nanodegree scholarship. Students will only be able to qualify for one Nanodegree scholarship (if eligible) across the duration of the entire One Million Arab Coders initiative.
Can I enroll in more than one track through the initiative?
Yes, students can enroll in any track they prefer, but we highly recommend to enroll in one track at a time to increase your chances of success.
Will you provide us with any kind of career support?
Udacity does not provide direct career support as part of the One Million Arab Coders initiative.
If I win a Nanodegree scholarship when will I be able to access it?
Students who have been selected for the Nanodegree scholarship will receive an email with all the details prior to the scholarship start date.
How will you contact me?
We will contact you via email. So, please make sure to check your e-mail frequently and you will need to use one email for everything during different stages of the initiative.
And make sure to check your spam folder to see if you received emails from our side.
Can I change the email address that I have used to sign-up?
You should maintain the email address you used to apply for the One Million Arab Coders Program for the duration of your entire course in order to maintain eligibility for this scholarship.
