General Questions What is The Future Seekers Challenge? Future Seekers is a challenge program that consists of two phases aiming to engage and enable 100,000 Saudis to further accelerate the Kingdom’s digital transformation and building Saudi’s tech ecosystem while learning online. How can I benefit from this program? Students will learn about the fundamentals of Future of Work in Phase 1 and after qualifying for Phase 2, students will be able to enroll in a Nanodegree program to learn about their preferred track in-depth to enable them and accelerate their careers. What are the eligibility criteria to enroll? Students must be Saudi Nationals to be eligible Are there any fees for enrollment? The Future Seekers Challenge is sponsored by MISK Academy and will be free of charge for both Phase 1 and Phase 2. What is the duration of the Future Seekers Challenge? The Future Seekers Challenge is a two-phased challenge, phase one is designed to run over a period of 6 weeks (1.5 months) where students will learn about the fundamentals of Future of Work and phase two is designed to run over a period of 8 weeks (2 months) for qualifying students from phase 1. However, it is important to note that the program is self-paced, you can finish it in less than the designed duration. What are the prerequisites for enrollment? No prior experience is required for enrollment. Basic computer skills like managing files, navigating the Internet, and running programs will be useful. We'll teach you everything you need to know. Is this program online, in-person, or a combination of both? This is a fully online program. Throughout the program, students get to learn through online videos in their classroom and interact with peers, coaches, and instructors on their community platform. Can I change the email address that I have used to sign-up? You should maintain the email address you used to apply for the Future Seekers Challenge for the duration of your entire course in order to maintain eligibility for this scholarship. How do I enroll in the program? Students can simply enroll themselves in Phase 1 by visiting the Future Seekers website from here. Until when is the challenge available? The challenge is ongoing on a rolling basis until May 5th, 2021. What are the criteria to be selected for the ND phase ( Phase 2 )? Students who complete the full foundational track (Phase 1) are eligible to take the final assessment for their offered Nanodegree. Final assessment details are shared prior to the assessment date. Accordingly, top-scoring students of the final assessment who show promise and potential will then be selected to take the Nanodegree scholarships. What are the available dates for the Final Assessment? If you complete the Challenge and get your Certificate of Completion between November 10, 2020, and January 28, 2021, you’re eligible to book and sit for the Final Assessment taking place on February 1, 2021. This Final Assessment is your ticket to compete for a scholarship in the first Nanodegree Program cohort that launches around February 10, 2021.If you get your Certificate of Completion between January 29 and May 6, 2021, you’re eligible to book and sit for the Final Assessment taking place on May 16, 2021. This Final Assessment is your ticket to compete for a scholarship in the second Nanodegree Program cohort that launches around May 25, 2021. How can I book the Final Assessment? Students will be able to register for their final assessment through a form they’ll receive through email once they complete phase 1 and receive their certificate of completion. (Please check your inbox, spam, and promotional folders)Note that even if student books and attempts the final assessment in different specializations, they’ll be entitled to only one Nanodegree Program scholarship overall, across the lifetime of the initiative. How can I know if I have been qualified for Phase 2 and when does it start? Students who have been selected for the Nanodegree scholarship ( Phase 2 ) will receive an email with all the details prior to the scholarship start date. Can I compete for the nanodegree scholarship more than once? Students will only be eligible for one attempt in the final assessment per track, which is your way of competing for the nanodegree scholarship. Students will only be able to qualify for one Nanodegree scholarship (if eligible) across the duration of the entire Future Seekers Challenge. How many assessments should I expect as part of this journey? As part of Phase 1, there is one assessment named the Certification Assessment, which you must pass in order to get certified in The Future of Work Fundamentals.If you would like to compete for a Nanodegree Scholarship to enter Phase 2, you can expect one Final Assessment per Nanodegree you'd like to apply to from the four Nanodegrees available for scholarships. Can I withdraw/postpone studying after I am enrolled? Unfortunately, there are no withdrawal or postponing options after you are enrolled in any of the phases. Will you provide us with any kind of career support? Udacity does not provide direct career support as part of the Future Seekers Challenge.
